The Golf

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Johannesburg Airport and take a private transfer into Swaziland. It’s a leisurely 4 hour drive with some stunning scenery to enjoy along the way. Overnight Reilys Rock Hilltop Lodge, Mlilwane Reserve
Day 2: Round of golf at Royal Swazi Golf Course – a spectacular 18-hole championship golf course lying in one of the most scenic locations found anywhere in the world, with a different mountain scape waiting to be enjoyed from every tee and green. Later that day enjoy an afternoon game drive with a stop for a sundowner to enjoy the spectacular sunset! Overnight Reilys Rock Hilltop Lodge, Mlilwane Reserve
Day 3: Transfer to nearby Nkonyeni Golf Estate which lies in 1200 hectares of gorgeous bushveld overlooking the Great Usutu River. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax in these beautiful surroundings, or if you fancy something more active, mountain biking, game drives, & walking track are all available. Day 4: Round of golf on Nkonyeni Bushveld Course – Swaziland’s premier course has a unique setting, meandering through the private game reserve – keep your eyes out for wildlife and remember, antelope have right of way! Overnight Nkonyeni Resort
Day 5: A short drive takes you to the safari-style Stone Camp at Mkhaya Game Reserve. The reserve is home to the Reilly’s Rehabilitation project, which functions as a haven for endangered species, such as black and white rhino, antelope and tsessebe. Accommodation is in luxury semi-open cottages without electricity; making your stay here is a truly unique and intimate experience. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Overnight Stone Camp.
Day 6: Mkhaya currently supports three of the Big Five; with leopard, buffalo, and rhino being present on the reserve, as well as a host of other game such as giraffe, hippo, crocodiles and vervet monkeys, so there is plenty to spot on your early morning and late afternoon game drives, with time in between to relax or perhaps take a walking safari and learn how to track wildlife. Day 7: Transfer to our next base in the Kruger National Park. In the afternoon, play the unique 9-hole course at Leopard Creek which replicates the great par-3s of the world, such as the iconic 12th and 16th at Augusta National, the terrifying 17th at TPC Sawgrass with its island green, as well as the Postage Stamp from Muirfield, to name a few. Day 8: Round of golf on Leopard Creek Golf Course; this unique and stunning course is hands down, South Africa’s best wildlife / safari golfing experience. The course actually borders the Kruger National Park, separated by nothing less than the carving crocodile river. Overnight Buhala Lodge
Day 9: All day safari in Kruger, one of the world’s greatest National Parks. The diversity, density and sheer numbers of animals is almost unparalleled here, with 137 species of mammal and over 500 varieties of bird. Day 10: Round of golf at Nelspruit Golf Course; this beautiful bushwelt course winds through granite kopjes and thick bush, past dams filled with indigenous kurper and over deeply forested gorges teeming with birdlife, duikers and mongoose. Overnight Olivers Lodge
Day 11: A free day to relax in your beautiful surroundings within the picturesque White River Country Estate. Laze by the pool, or you could take a drive along the stunning Panorama Route tour for some breathtaking views and some of the most spectacular landscapes in Southern Africa. Overnight Olivers Lodge
Day 12: Round of golf on White River Golf Course; lying in a glorious setting adjacent to several private nature reserves, two of the par 5 holes have been compared to Augusta National in their beauty, challenge and abundance of water. Overnight Olivers Lodge
Day 13: Return drive to Johannesburg Airport for flight home.
