Suggested Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your hotel in downtown Colombo.   Enjoy an afternoon city tour taking in the highlights of Sri Lanka’s elegant and cosmopolitan capital. Overnight Colombo

Day 2: Transfer by road to the island’s beautiful second city, Kandy.  En route you will visit the world famous Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala, as well as a stop at Mawanella to visit the Spice Gardens.  You will arrive in Kandy mid-afternoon, with time to freshen up before an early evening visit to Sri Lanka’s most famous landmark, the spectacular Temple of the Tooth. Overnight Kandy

Day 3: Transfer to Victoria Golf Club for a round of golf Overnight Kandy

Day 4: A free day to further explore Kandy, or relax by the pool in your hotel.  Overnight Kandy

Day 5: Transfer by road to Nuwara Eliya.  This drive will take you on a scenic and unique journey through the iconic landscapes of the Sri Lankan Tea Plantations and you’ll stop at one for a fascinating guided tour and, of course, a quick cuppa afterwards. Overnight Nuwara Eliya

 

Day 6: Morning round of golf at Nuwara Eliya. Afternoon transfer to the resort of Hambantota on the Indian Ocean. Overnight Hambantota

 

Days 7 - 10: Spend a further 4 nights at the magnificent Shangri La Hambantota Golf & Beach Resort.  2 rounds of golf are included on the resort’s beautiful course.   There’s time to relax by the pool, as well as a day safari in the nearby Yala National Park – the scenery and wildlife is stunning and it’s home world’s largest concentration of leopards. Overnight Hambantota

 

Day 11: Transfer back to Colombo – a scenic drive along the island’s south coast, with a stop to visit the stunning city of Galle, a Unesco World Heritage Site.  Take a walk around its beautiful walled Old Town and Fort. Overnight Colombo


Day 12: Round of golf at beautiful Royal Colombo Golf Course. Overnight Colombo


Day 13: Transfer to Columbo Airport for return journey back to UK


Best Time to Travel to Sri Lanka for this Tour: Sri Lanka is a year round destination, however the best time to visit the south of the island is between December and March when temperatures are more moderate and rainfall is lighter.
