It’s a laidback tropical sanctuary nestled among the lush green palm trees and pristine coastline of Bel Ombre on the south west coast of Mauritius..
Chill Out and Relax
The Bel Ombre Estate is also home to the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, and guests can make the most of the shared facilities and activities on offer throughout the Domaine. A favourite spot has got to be the C Beach Club, a chic venue set right on the beach. Here you’ll find the Cabana boathouse which offers a range of water and land sports; the restaurants Coast and Cyan; and The Chill lounge bar, the perfect spot for a sundowner.
....and in case you're bored!
The Seven Colours Spa complex is one of the best on the island, with 20 treatment rooms and 7 massage rooms offering top quality health & wellness in stunning tropical garden surroundings. There are four swimming pools to stretch out by, or take a stroll along the resort’s powder-white sandy beach and find your spot to watch the sunset with a cool sundowner. There’s a host of land and watersports on offer, including kayaking, snorkelling, windsurfing or take a trip in the resort’s glass bottom boat and enjoy what’s above and below the waterline!.
Wining & Dining
An exceptional standard of cuisine and service can be experienced at the resort’s six restaurants and two bars as well as the further six restaurants around the Domaine. The Balafon Restaurant serves excellent breakfasts and dinners. For a more casual dining experience the Infinity Blue restaurant serves wonderful seafood on the beach. Alternatively enjoy elegant surroundings and authentic Mauritian cuisine, the 19th century Le Chateau de Bel Ombre overlooks a French-style garden with stunning views to the golf course and ocean.
Each of the Heritage Awali’s 154 deluxe rooms and 5 suites are decorated to reflect the African-theme of the hotel. Rooms benefit from rich, warm palettes, straw fashioned lamp shades, oiled woods and earthenware and all fold out onto their own private terrace or balcony. A choice of beachfront, ocean view and partly ocean view allow for all the Heritage Awali rooms to offer a glance across the Indian Ocean.
Ranked as one of the best courses in Mauritius, the spectacular Heritage Course enjoys an idyllic setting, lying on a stretch of land between rolling mountains and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. It provides an enjoyable but challenging experience for all standard of golfers.
Heritage Golf Course
Distance 5588 metres
Sitting in a spectacular local landscape, Heritage layout winds around the imposing Chateau De Bel Ombre and its exotic gardens, with stunning views not only of the sea, but also the Black River Gorges nature reserve, which borders many of the holes. From the back tees, the course extends to a daunting 7,116 yards, and requires a buggy, but there are a number of tee boxes, which makes it an enjoyable challenge for all standards of golfer. Beware the tangly rough and water hazards however, which combine with the prevailing winds, to keep all golfers on their toes!
